She-Oak Hill is one of the founding wineries in the region. She-Oak Hill vineyard is an expansion of the original five acres of Shiraz vines established by Gordon Leckie Senior in 1975 and increased with a planting of Chardonnay and further Shiraz by the next generation of his family.

It is situated on a narrow band of ancient Cambrian soil five kilometres north of Heathcote next to the iconic Jasper Hill winery. The vines are dry grown and we adhere to minimal use of chemicals. They are cordon pruned by hand by Laurie Conforti and the grapes are harvested manually.

The wine is made from fruit exclusively produced at She-Oak Hill vineyard by John Ellis at Hanging Rock Winery. They produce a melon and citrus flavoured Chardonnay and a concentrated, sweet Shiraz.
