Dog Point Road (PO Box 52 Renwick, Marlborough)

Ph. 03 572 8294

Dog Point has been picking up many international plaudits for is Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Noir is one of the best value Kiwi Pinots that I regularly recommend to friends.

Dog Point Vineyard showcases the considerable industry experience of Ivan and Margaret Sutherland and James and Wendy Healy. James (winemaker) and Ivan (viticulturalist) both worked at Cloudy Bay.

The 80 ha of vineyards are close planted and low yielding on silty clay loam soils. A substantial portion of the grapes go to Cloudy Bay. Some of the vines are thirty years old, a a rarity in this region.

The portfolio includes: Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay and the Cuvee Section 94 (made from Sauvignon Blanc).
